Become A Support Group Facilitator

Volunteers that serve as Support Group Facilitators share a passion to bring together those with Parkinson's disease PD) as well as the people who are sharing the experience of PD. Facilitators should have a connection to Parkinson's disease and the desire to learn, share experiences, and provide others in the PD community with fellowship and education.
New cases of PD are diagnosed every day and the community we serve is ever increasing. The Parkinson Association is on the lookout for interested volunteers who want to engage a population regarding general PD support issues, men's groups, caregiver's groups, veteran's groups, etc.
We are currently developing a "Guide for New Support Group Facilitators" which will provide additional details regarding the role and responsibilities of this volunteer position. For now, please call the Parkinson Association office at (916) 357-6641 or E-mail to let us know that you are interested.
