Myron Jantzen – President

Myron is a dedicated member of the Parkinson's community due to his late wife, Joan’s battle with Parkinson's disease. He is a retired educator and is active in the River City Chorale.

Eric Egli, Ph.D. - Vice President
Eric is a psychologist in private practice in Auburn.  He has worked as a Behavioral Medicine Specialist to help patients and their families cope with the physical and psychological consequences of chronic illnesses including Parkinson's Disease.​

Chris Chediak - Treasurer

​Chris is a senior shareholder and corporate transactional attorney for Weintraub Tobin. His practice focuses on governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and fiduciary matters. He has served on the Board of Directors for numerous non-profit organizations throughout the Sacramento region and joined the Parkinson Association board in 2017.

Carolyn  Loveridge – Secretary​

Carolyn has spent many years in early childhood education.  She was the Executive Director of a non-profit child care agency in Southern California.  She became a dedicated volunteer with the Parkinson's community during her late husband's battle with PD.

Matt Brown, Ph.D. - Director​

Matt Brown (Doc Brown) is an Assistant Professor at Sacramento State University in the Department of Kinesiology.
​His teaching and research specializes on how people learn and control movement (particularly from a neurological perspective), which includes people with Parkinson’s disease (PWP). He has been working and doing research with PWP that started over a decade ago while volunteering in an exercise rehabilitation program for PWP as a student. He continues to aspire to help improve the life of PWP through teaching, research and his service with PANC.

Christine Grmolyes, GCM – Director
Christine is a Certified Geriatric Care Manager, working with Senior Care Sol​utions.
She is an accomplished community leader and joined the Parkinson Association board in 2016.

Danielle Hand-Nicholls - Director
Danielle represents the Young Onset Parkinson's Disease (YOPD) community and eagerly advocates for folks with Parkinson's to live their best life.  She is also active in the YOPD Sacramento Support Group and Rock Steady Boxing Sacramento's YOPD specific sessions.  When not working, this 3rd generation PwP stays active fighting the disease from progressing by biking, water and snow skiing, practicing yoga and social activities with friends and family.

Kim Hawkins, R.N. - Director
​Kim is a retired registered nurse.  Through volunteer work she started facilitating the Redding Parkinson Support Group in 2012.  Since then she has had a close working relationship with PANC and volunteered on many of the committees.  Her support group meets monthly, with an attendance of 45 -55, and has an annual conference every April with over 100 people attending. She became a Board Director in 2020.

Suketu Khandhar, M.D. -Director
Dr. Khandhar is a Movement Disorder Specialist and the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Movement Disorders Program for Northern California, Kaiser Permanente. He completed a fellowship in Parkinson’s disease & Movement Disorders (University of California, San Francisco). Dr. Khandhar works with a team of specialists focusing on Parkinson’s disease, Essential Tremor and Dystonia. He has championed multi-disciplinary care using an integrated practice model.

​​Martha (Marcie) Larkey– Director

Marcie is a retired healthcare professional previously holding a wide range of positions in education, marketing, business development and fundraising.  She has served on the Board of Directors for numerous non-profit organizations and joined the Parkinson Association of Northern California board in 2017.

Frederick Lowe, M. D. - Director

Dr. Lowe is a retired internal medicine specialist, with the last 17 of his 33 years with Kaiser Permanente as a hospital based specialist in the Vallejo Medical Center.  With his wife having Parkinson’s for 7 years, he has been exploring how this awful disease affects the body, and all available modalities to reduce and hopefully reverse the degenerative process.  He joined the board in Feb, 2020.

Jennifer Westoby - Director

Prior to retiring from the workforce, Jennifer was an Account Manager, working with several high tech companies in the Bay Area.  Her second career was as a riding instructor (trained in England).  She loves teaching horse riding to all ages, but especially time spent teaching children with disabilities.  Jennifer was officially diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2019.  She started a support group where she lives, and exercises regularly with fellow Parkinsonians.
