Regional Support Groups

"On my first visit, I had no idea how very important this Support Group would become to me over the years"  -- -- Support Group Participant
PANC is proud to host a network of more than 30 support groups in the region. People come to learn, share their stories of how they face the challenges to "live well" with PD. The comradery is always palpable and upbeat and there are no fees to attend.
Picture
Each group is a bit different -- some focus on education regarding PD and others add social aspects to their get-togethers. Because these groups have different focuses, you may find it helpful to speak with the support group facilitator to get a sense of their group’s focus. Some questions you may want to ask include:

  • How would you characterize your group and what is its primary purpose?
  • What is the average number of years your group members have been living with Parkinson’s?
  • What have some of your recent discussion topics been?
  • Does your group have participation limitations due to the size of your meeting location?

The following links direct you to area support groups. Please note that meeting dates and locations are subject to change so it's a good idea to contact the support group facilitator to verify meeting information.
